Summer Art Camp FAQ
Camp sessions are designed for two age groups: children ages 8 to 12 and tweens and teens ages 12 to 16.
Each group follows a curriculum and pace that fits where kids actually are developmentally. The Tween and Teen week features more advanced projects.
Camp sessions are priced between $350 and $375 per week depending on the specific theme. That covers all tools, materials, and instructor-led guidance for the full week.
Kids work with natural wood, paint, stain, resin, ceramics, and other materials throughout the session. There is no need to bring any supplies.
The only thing parents need to do is drop off and pick up a happy, proud kid at the end of each day.
Fridays are celebration days that wrap up the week with something extra special.
Depending on the camp theme and age group, Friday activities have included cookie decorating with Diana Lee's and a Tween and Teen Spa Day where campers make their own body scrubs and roller perfumes.
These closing-day experiences give kids a memorable finale to the week and a chance to show off everything they have created over the previous days.
Summer Art Camp at Hammer & Stain Shrewsbury is a drop-off program.
Parents are not required to stay during sessions. The studio handles all instruction, materials, and supervision.
For authorized pickups, ID will be requested to ensure camper safety. This makes camp a genuinely convenient option for busy parents in the Shrewsbury and York County area who want a high-quality creative experience without having to coordinate their own schedule around it.
