Prefer to host your creative event at your own location? We’ll bring the Hammer & Stain DIY Workshop experience directly to you!
Our mobile workshops serve communities from York, PA to Hunt Valley, MD. There is no travel fee for locations within 20 miles of our Shrewsbury studio. For events located between 20 and 60 miles away, a $40 travel fee applies.
Off-site events require a minimum of 15 participants, along with a $50 mobile workshop fee.
As the host, all you need to provide are tables, chairs, and trash bins. We’ll handle everything else—from preparing the projects and bringing the materials to providing instruction and taking care of cleanup.

Booking Details for Your Private Group Experience
To help ensure your private event runs smoothly, here are a few important details to keep in mind.
In-studio private parties can accommodate groups of 6 to 18 guests, while off-site mobile events require a minimum of 15 participants.
All guests must register at least 7 days before the scheduled event date. We recommend reaching out as early as possible, especially if you have a preferred date in mind, as private event dates can fill quickly.
Every project is custom prepared specifically for your private party. Because we begin the planning and preparation process once your booking is confirmed, we are unable to offer refunds on confirmed private event bookings.
Planning ahead helps us make sure every project, material, and detail is ready for your group so you can simply arrive and enjoy the experience.

Hostess Duties
As the host or hostess of your private party, your main job is simple: choose the projects and invite your guests!
You may select up to three projects for you and your guests to choose from at your event. Eligible projects for private parties can be found in our Project Gallery.
In-Studio Private Parties: Projects priced under $45 are not available for in-studio private parties.
Off-Site Private Parties: Projects priced under $55 are not eligible for off-site parties.
Once you’ve selected your project options, all that’s left is to invite your guests and make sure everyone registers before the registration deadline.
All guests must register at least 7 days before your event. Only guests who have completed their registration by the deadline will be able to participate, so please remind everyone in your group to register on time.
We’ll take care of preparing the projects, gathering the supplies, and getting everything ready for your group—you just bring the people!
