Fundraiser Event FAQs
Your organization receives up to 15% of all eligible sales generated during your fundraiser event.
The more participants you bring in, the greater your fundraising potential. Since guests can choose from a variety of project options at different price points, encouraging your supporters to attend and share the event is the best way to maximize the amount raised for your organization.
There is no cap on the amount your organization can earn. Sales are tracked through our booking system, and your donation is calculated based on the total eligible revenue generated during your event.
The more you create together, the more you can give back to your cause!
In-studio fundraiser events require a minimum of 6 participants and can accommodate up to 18 guests, depending on the projects selected and studio setup.
Have a larger group or prefer to host your fundraiser at your own location? Our mobile fundraising option may be a better fit. Off-site events require a minimum of 15 participants.
Once your event is booked, all guests must register at least 7 days before the event so our team has time to prepare the selected projects and gather all necessary materials.
Whether your group is large or small, we’ll help you find the fundraising option that works best for your organization!
Yes! We offer mobile fundraising workshops for organizations that would prefer to host their event at their own location.
Our mobile service area extends from York, PA to Hunt Valley, MD. Off-site events require a minimum of 15 participants.
Travel within 20 miles of our Shrewsbury studio is included at no additional charge. For locations between 20 and 60 miles away, a $40 travel fee applies.
Your organization simply needs to provide tables, chairs, and trash bins for the event space. We’ll bring everything else, including the projects, materials, tools, supplies, and instructor-led guidance.
You provide the space and supporters—we’ll bring the creativity!
No problem! We offer Hammer @ Home Kits as a way to extend your fundraiser beyond the in-person event.
These DIY kits allow supporters to participate from home and include the materials and supplies needed to complete their project independently. Each kit also includes instructions to help guide them through the creative process.
Hammer @ Home Kits are a great option for supporters who want to contribute to your cause but are unable to attend the fundraiser in person.
Each kit is priced at the base project cost, plus a $5 preparation fee.
This gives your organization another way to reach supporters, raise additional funds, and make participation possible for those with busy schedules or who live outside the area.
Not at all! No prior art, painting, or crafting experience is needed to participate in a Hammer & Stain fundraiser workshop.
Every event is fully instructor-led, with our team guiding participants through each step of the project from start to finish. No one is expected to arrive knowing how to paint, stain, or work with wood—we’re here to help every step of the way.
The goal is to create a fun, relaxed experience where everyone feels comfortable getting creative and leaves with a handmade project they are proud to take home and display.
It’s just as much a social night as it is a creative one—giving your supporters a chance to gather, laugh, create, and connect while supporting a cause that matters to them.
We recommend booking your fundraiser as early as possible, especially if you have a preferred date in mind or are planning during a busy season.
While project materials require a minimum of 48 hours for preparation, all guests must register no later than 7 days before the event date. This gives our team enough time to finalize project selections, prepare materials, and ensure everything is ready for your group.
Reaching out several weeks in advance gives your organization the best opportunity to secure your preferred date and choose from the widest selection of available project options.
