Join us Thursday, January 9th @ 6:00PM at Hammer and Stain Shrewsbury for our WORD OF THE YEAR - INSPIRATIONAL WORD workshop. This project is a 5.5" x 18" framed plank.

Instead of writing a new year’s resolution (or panicking that you can’t decide on one) another great way to go into a brand, spanking new year is to have a focus word instead. A single word that encapsulates what you need more of, what you want to focus on, or what you need to improve on. A word for the year!

Benefits of having a ‘word of the year’:

It might be a theme or focus for your year ahead – either way, it’s an exciting way to set your focus for the year ahead. It provides an anchor and encourages you to consciously (and subconsciously) consider this focus word when making decisions – what you want more of and what you want less of in your life.

Pick your 2025 word (suggested list of words provided or you can choose your own!) and then customize by picking the font you want to use - pictures match font options.

Customize your project in studio with your choice of stain & paint colors. This registration will allow for one adult to come make one project from this collection. If another person wants to come with you but does not want to complete a project, a seating fee will occur.

BYOB & Snacks to sip and enjoy during the workshop. However, H&S Shrewsbury does not provide cups, plates, silverware, serving utensils, etc.

~This is an ADULT workshop, nobody under the age of 18 will be permitted~

Cancellation Policy

Once your order has been submitted we are immediately beginning the process of production for your project.

Due to the customization of our workshops, there are NO REFUNDS. However, if you cancel with at least 48 hours notice, your project can be turned into a to go kit to be completed at home. You may also be able to complete your project at an open paint session. Projects will only be held for 30 days from the original workshop date. Hammer & Stain reserves the right to make any amendments to this policy at any time. Notification of any changes will be published on this page. If you have any inquiries regarding cancellations or any of our other policies please contact us.

Guest Policy

Unless otherwise specified in the workshop description, unregistered
guests are not permitted to attend any workshop, whether it is a public
workshop or private party. Bringing an unregistered guest will result in the guest being asked to leave as this interferes with the attention and experience of our registered makers. Makers can inquire about purchasing a guest seat but the request will be subject to
approval.

Wood

This is a natural wood workshop, so your sign will have random cracks,
chips, knots and other natural blemishes that give it character! Some peeling may occur. We will do our very best to minimize disturbances to the words and make everything look intentional, but due to the nature of the workshop we can make no guarantees. Please keep in mind, no sign is absolutely perfect, as it is hand crafted, but it will certainly be wall worthy!
